Up Yours

As Kloof Streets one and only rooftop bar, Up Yours has become the hub of the local music scene, with live DJ’s and acoustic sessions every weekend.  An ideal venue for after work drinks and lazy weekends, with breath taking sunsets, this space is the quintessential Cape Town experience.

This is a trendy cocktail kitchen and brandy bar in the V&A Waterfront serving creative cocktails and dishes with live music every Wednesday / Thursday night from 7.30pm to 10.30pm and Friday night from 10pm to 1am.  DJ’s play on Saturday evenings from 10.30pm to 2am. 

Chinchilla Rooftop Café & Bar
Camps Bay

Cape Town’s hottest rooftop café and bar has the best access to 360  ̊ views of Camps Bay, Lions Head and the Twelve Apostles.  Chinchilla’s casual and elegant interior seamlessly combines beach with boho-chic.  If you want to catch the sunset, don’t forget to book a table overlooking the promenade and beach.  DJ’s play Fridays to Sundays. 

Bascule Whisky, Wine & Cocktail Bar

The Bascule Bar located at the Cape Grace Hotel in the V&A Waterfront is situated on the water’s edge overlooking the yacht marina.  There are a staggering 500 whiskies from around the world on offer as well as an impressive selection of the finest wines from around the Cape.  By night the bar is transformed into a glamorous whisky, wine and cocktail bar. 

The Secret Gin Bar

Tucked behind Honest Chocolate Café in Wale Street, the Secret Gin Bar is one of the country’s only true speak-easy, hidden in a secret Mediterranean style courtyard.  The Gin Bar boasts an impressive collection of over 70 locally crafted gins.  Book a delicious and educational gin tasting at 3pm or 5pm Thursdays to Saturdays.

Club Hemisphere (Cocoon)

Hemisphere is a sophisticated and stylish club, bar and cocktail lounge situated on the 31st floor of the ABSA Centre in Riebeeck Street.  The views of Table Mountain and the ocean whilst looking out  through the floor to ceiling glass windows are breath taking.  The music is mostly mainstream 70’s, 80’s and 90’s retro with R&B and commercial house.   

Harringtons Cocktail Lounge

The new bar on the bloc, Harrington’s offers cocktails, live jazz, special themed evenings and late-night disco. The upscale upstairs lounge occupies part of the space that once was the old Assembly club. Its neighbours and sister hotspots are the weekend nightclub District and Surfarosa, a casual surfer-themed bar on the ground floor. 

Tiger Tiger

Tiger Tiger’s  upscale but affordable nightclub in Main Road, Claremont is cosy but classy.  The  decor is a lavish mix of oriental opulence and modern day Moulin Rouge. Thursday nights are student nights open from 8pm to 4am.  Friday is ladies night and Saturday nights are open from 8.30pm to 4am. 

The Pink Panther Night Club
De Waterkant

Popular gay nightclub in Strand Street, De Waterkant attracting a mixed, mostly young crowd.  Great vibe, awesome music, hot bartenders make the Pink Panther a great place to party.
